Michael Cardello III Elected Vice Chair Of The Commercial & Federal Litigation Section Of The New York State Bar Association
GARDEN CITY, NY; January 26, 2022— Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP has announced that Michael Cardello III, a Partner of the firm, has been elected to serve as Vice Chair of the Commercial & Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association (COMFED).
COMFED brings together members of the bench and bar interested in relevant issues and laws affecting commercial litigation and associated issues in federal and state court. The section presents programs and CLEs, including an annual destination Spring Meeting where attorneys congregate for professional development. It also holds events to provide members with opportunities to meet and hear from Judges and experienced commercial litigators and leaders of the legal community.
Michael Cardello III has been a Partner with the firm since 2006 and serves on the firm’s Management Committee. He concentrates his practice in all areas of business and commercial litigation, and represents large and small businesses, financial institutions and individuals in both federal court and the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. In addition, Mr. Cardello also serves as a Court-Appointed Discovery Referee and Special Discovery Master for various courts to oversee all aspects of the discovery process in complex commercial cases. He is approved by the Officer of Court Administration in the State of New York to serve as a Receiver and has been appointed to oversee the dissolution and wind up of the affairs of businesses and for the collection of rents for commercial properties. Mr. Cardello also mediates complex commercial litigation cases pending in the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. He serves on the EDNY Litigation Advisory Committee and is also a Fellow of the Academy of Court-Appointed Masters and the New York Bar Foundation. He earned his J.D., M.B.A., and B.B.A. degrees from Hofstra University. Prior to joining Moritt Hock & Hamroff in 1997, Mr. Cardello served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Arthur D. Spatt, United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.
