Mastering Finance, Accounting & Tax Essentials in Equipment Finance

Sudhir Amembal, CEO of Amembal & Halladay and an affiliate of Rinaldi Advisory Services, is launching a new training initiative in offering a seminar entitled "Mastering Finance, Accounting & Tax Essentials in Equipment Finance".

The half-day interactive virtual seminar, instructed by Mr. Amembal, is being offered exclusively on an in-house basis. Finance topics include: present value, internal rate of return, nominal versus effective rates, each of which will be put forth through practical illustrations. Accounting topics include: criteria distinguishing between the two types of leases and the treatment of EFA's, finance and operating leases both from a customer's and financier's point of view. Tax topics include: differences between accounting and taxable income, criteria distinguishing between tax and non-tax leases, the treatment of these two types for both parties, Section 179 and bonus depreciation.

Amembal stated: "Equipment finance is a multi-disciplinary industry. It relies on an understanding of finance, accounting and tax. Many equipment finance professionals do not have the academic background to grasp these disciplines. The seminar, through practical illustrations and quizzes, will guide attendees through the intricate nexus of the three disciplines shedding light on their profound impact on both customers and financiers.
