NEFA Foundation Committee Raises Over $30,000 at "Monday Night Lights" Charity Event

February 1, 2025

The National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) Foundation Committee is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its "Monday Night Lights" charity event, held on November 11th during the 2025 Fall Conference. The evening combined the excitement of Monday Night Football with lawn games, a lively cornhole tournament, and delicious food and drinks, creating an unforgettable experience for attendees while raising funds for impactful causes.

With a total of over $30,000 raised, the event demonstrated the generosity of the NEFA membership. Of the funds raised, $20,000 was donated to Folds of Honor, an organization dedicated to providing educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members. Given the significance of Veterans Day on November 11th, partnering with Folds of Honor was a natural and meaningful choice. The remaining $10,000 was allocated to the Chris Walker Education Fund, supporting educational opportunities within the equipment finance industry.

"The NEFA charity event before the Fall Conference in Indy surpassed my expectations," said Dave Gruber, Chair of the NEFA Foundation Committee. “With generous sponsor support and great attendance, it was amazing to see everybody come together to support the event. The crowd, decked out in their favorite football jerseys, enjoyed a competitive and fun cornhole tournament. But the real reason we were there was to raise money for the Chris Walker Education Fund and Folds of Honor, which made the event truly special."

Highlights of the evening included spirited rounds of cornhole, where participants competed for friendly bragging rights, as well as opportunities to network and connect over football and refreshments. The combination of fun and philanthropy created an engaging atmosphere that left attendees energized and inspired.

NEFA extends its gratitude to all who participated and contributed to the event’s success. We are particularly thankful to our sponsors who helped make this event possible: Dakota Financial, LLC, Channel, Dedicated Financial GBC, LTi Technology Solutions, Maynards Equipment Finance, Asset Compliant Solutions (ACS), instaCOVER, KLC Financial, Inc., North Mill Equipment Finance, LLC, Navitas Credit Corp, Universal Finance Corp, Alliance Funding Group (AFG), 360 Equipment Finance, Liventus, SCJ Commercial Financial Services, Star Hill Financial, RTR Services, Inc., and Great American Insurance Group, Specialty Equipment.
